We are working towards this goal in many carefully planned steps. To live up to our responsibility, we have developed a comprehensive sustainability program -the Jokey Eco Concept. This program encompasses fields of action that guide us in continuously adapting our products to the requirements of a sustainable circular economy. Our holistic approach helps us to steadily reduce the ecological footprint from procurement to production to the end consumer. Purchasing at Jokey is thus an integral part of our sustainability strategy.
Supply chain transparency is of central importance to Jokey. We rely on close collaboration with our suppliers to ensure full transparency regarding the origin and production conditions of our materials. Through regular audits and reports, we ensure that all parties in our supply chain adhere to our high standards of sustainability and ethical business practices. This transparency allows us to identify potential risks early and take proactive measures to maintain the integrity of our supply chain.
As part of our Jokey Supplier Risk Assessment and CSR topics in line with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations nin Supply Chains, we place great emphasis on ecological and social responsibility. We conduct detailed discussions with our “Red Flag” suppliers to ensure they meet our high standards regarding environmental and social responsibility. This includes measures to reduce environmental impacts, ensure fair working conditions, and uphold human rights.
Another focus of our sustainable procurement is the promotion of the circular economy. We work closely with our suppliers to develop materials and products that can be reduced, reused, recycled, or otherwise sustainably utilized. This helps to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency.
In light of climate change, we are actively committed to reducing CO₂ emissions. We continuously evaluate our supply chain and production processes to identify and implement opportunities for emission reduction. This includes the use of energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and the optimization of transportation routes.
Jokey places great importance on the economical use of valuable resources and the avoidance of environmental pollution and energy waste. That is why our suppliers and business partners are also involved in the continuous improvement of energy management. Energy efficiency is an important evaluation criterion in Jokey’s purchasing decisions and in the acquisition of new machines such as injection molding systems. For example, the hybrid and fully electric injection molding machines used by Jokey consume 20 to 40 percent less electricity than conventional hydraulic machines.

To continuously increase efficiency in processes and supply chains, we are further expandingdigitalization. At the same time, as part of theresilience strategy, the development of flexible networks and diverse relationships is being accelerated to enhance the ability to respond to unexpected events and crises in global supply chains.
The quality of the products and services to be procured is specified cross-functionally with internal users. Delivery performance also plays a decisive role: punctual deliveries in the correct quantities are essential for cost efficiency in production and logistic.

Our Supplier Ethical Code outlines the principles and minimum requirements for our global supplier network, taking into account legal requirements such as the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and international standards. Our suppliers must establish and regularly review management systems in accordance with the Jokey Supplier Ethical Code. They are required to comply with all relevant national and international laws, particularly in the areas of labor, social, and environmental protection, as well as guidelines for the protection of customer data. Conflicts of interest must be avoided, and no advantages may be offered to Jokey employees to maintain the integrity of business relationships.
Jokey respects the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and is committed to preventing human rights violations. Discrimination, racist behavior, harassment, bullying, as well as physical and psychological violence are strictly rejected. Forced labor and child labor are prohibited in our supply chain. Our suppliers must ensure fair wages and working conditions, promote equal opportunities, and create a respectful, inclusive work environment. Health and safety at the workplace are essential, and the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining must be respected.
Jokey prioritizes the sustainable use of natural resources and requires its suppliers to avoid environmental pollution and implement protective measures. We expect energy-efficient alternatives and compliance with local environmental laws. Recycling and environmentally friendly materials are of great importance to us, and we promote responsible energy consumption.
Jokey Supplier Risk Assessment
To ensure unwavering adherence to our Jokey Supplier Ethical Code, Jokey diligently conducts comprehensive analyses of human rights and environmental risks at our suppliers at least once a year or as necessary (Jokey Supplier Risk Analysis). In this meticulous process, Jokey may request detailed information or reports, and, with prior written notice, perform audits at the supplier’s premises in accordance with SMETA Sedex standards. During these assessments, we identify our “Red Flag” Suppliers and delve into thorough risk analyses and interviews, focusing on various critical action fields.
