Ann-Kathrin Wurth, Quality Management, Plant Wipperfürth
New ideas, thinking outside the box, trying things out and making mistakes are all part of the process. That is exactly what is needed to remain innovative and progressive. Promoting this is one of Jokey's major goals. Ann-Kathrin Hübing, a member of the quality management team, also knows this. She is responsible for the conformity work and automates the necessary processes in our ERP system in close cooperation with the IT application developers.
She first encountered the company with the simple idea of writing her bachelor's thesis at Jokey. Five years later, she is still here. It quickly became clear: here is room for my ideas, here I fit in and here I have opportunities to develop. By looking at things from new angles, she shows potential for development and by being creative, open-minded and full of ideas she successfully plays a significant role in shaping progress at our company.

To promote innovation even further, employees like Ann-Kathrin can organise their tasks themselves. This provides more freedom to initiate new advances. "Flat hierarchies and open work structures make projects possible, even across specialised fields. These also always require new perspectives and gaining new knowledge. There is a relaxed working atmosphere, we exchange ideas among each other, we learn from each other – informally; we appreciate and respect each other," says the rather shy young woman.

Thanks to joint cross-departmental working, it is not difficult to find contact persons and no one is left alone with problems. As a family business, we also respond to individual needs, because we know that people are the factor that decides many things and that this cannot be offset by economic decisions.
Ann-Kathrin can also confirm this, "I personally experienced a few years ago that Jokey also deals with individual private matters, shows understanding and provides situational support. It showed me that I can count on Jokey that the focus is on the well-being of the employees. Therefore, I do not know what else I could wish for here."
