Jokey Group expands and invests in own production site in United Kingdom

United Kingdom is an important sales market for the Jokey Group. The family-owned company, based in Wipperfürth in North Rhine-Westphalia, is a specialist in sustainable plastic injection moulding and one of the world's leading manufacturers of packaging for the food and non-food industries. In order to respond to the needs of its British customers in the best possible way, the Jokey Group is investing in its own production site in Northamptonshire.

Thanks to the successful cooperation with the real estate company Carter Jonas and the law firm Fladgate LLP, the Jokey Group was able to acquire its own property and production facilities. In the coming months, extensive renovation and modernization measures will be carried out at the new location, special machines will be installed, and new employees will be hired. As early as September 2023, the new Jokey plant will start with the production for customers in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The production in Northamptonshire is also a contribution to the company's carbon footprint reduction as local production will shorten delivery routes, partially eliminate imports and transport from mainland Europe to the UK. With its Eco Concepts 3.0, the Jokey Group has committed itself to maximum energy and resource efficiency in its 15 plants. The company also expects to strengthen its market position in the UK in the long term through its consistent sustainable orientation, ongoing investments in recycling cycles, its know-how in the processing of recycled materials, and the high Jokey quality standards.
