History

In 1968, Josef Kemmerich and his four sons establish the company "Jokey Plastik" in Wipperfürth/Germany. Due to continuously increasing demand, exports are made into many adjoining countries already after 10 years. Initial take-overs and acquisitions are accomplished in Germany and France at the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties. From the nineties, new production sites are created in Eastern Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and in Turkey.

Currently, connections are developed to North and South America as well as Asia and Japan. Within 30 years Jokey is growing to a modern, owner-operated group of companies with more than 1,000 employees, 8 sites and more than 280 injection moulding machines of 80 to 2,000 t.

At the same time Jokey has remained a family-operated company, as it is this combination of tradition and innovation, open-mindedness and customer orientation which enables the enterprise to successfully accompany its customers.
